Head Chef Theodor works along side a team of young and talented chefs. While Bar Manager Bernie teams with his mother and host, Deanna. The restaurant excels because the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. Each giving their own piece to the Grappino experience.

Its a casual place where you can eat often. There is no fuss about the meals. They are simple and delicious.
Chef Roduner believes in the basics. The simplicity of cooking with a loving respect for nature and food prepared with passion & inspiration.
Opened in late 2004, Grappino has grown from strength to strength. The Roduner's moved their family from Switzerland to the picurest valley's of Tasmania before deciding to settle in Brisbane due to its warm climate and quickly growing cosmopolitan lifestyle.
The move proved a success as a real Italian Trattoria was something not in existence in the Brisbane culinary scene.
My Mission for our restaurant is to pass on my extensive culinary world to both my sons Bernhard and Theodor, and the Grappino team. To keep to the traditional style of cooking for future generations. To my loving wife Deanna who inspires the family with vigor and dynamism and love to stand tall in this ever changing world.
